Q&A

Tell us about yourself. Freelance graphic designer, lover of puppies, monochrome styling and paper goodness.

What got you into designing and how long have you been designing for? I've always had a passion for design which started in my younger years crafting gifts and designing clothes to sew. I went on to study Industrial Design and followed that up with Graphic Design. While working as an in-house designer I decided that I'd like to run my own business where I could work on a range of different projects and with an array of clients. Eventually I decided to leave to pursue my own thing and I am currently working as a part time business owner while doing the 9-5 admin thing 4 days a week until the business grows a bit more.

How would you describe your design style? My style is quite bold and graphic but is ever changing depending on the project that I am working on.

What motivates and inspires you to get out of bed each day? COFFEE! I am what my friends call a 'coffee snob'. Hey, there's nothing wrong with a girl who loves good coffee...right? ;) . I love getting up for a day of designing - it's the best feeling creating something new for others to enjoy.

Tell us about the artwork you’ve designed for The Paper Merchants? The designs are pretty bold and monochromatic.
